Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Psychiatrist - Nocturnist - CPEP to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, NCB remains a respected leader in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health.  The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) is a state-of-the-art acute service that provides a spectrum of services designed to meet the needs of our diverse clientele, in the most effective and least restrictive manner possible. In addition to providing acute evaluation and stabilization of an adult and geriatric population, it also provides consultation services to the MED, PEDS ED and the Inpatient Medical units. We are seeking an outstanding psychiatrist with clinical leadership and teaching experience and skills. Opportunity Details:

• Be the primary psychiatrist in charge during the overnight hours in our CPEP.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage acute psychiatric presentations.
• Document assessments, treatment plans and progress notes in the electronic health record in a timely manner.
• Coordination of disposition planning in conjunction with Social Work, Physician Assistant, and other medical staff.
• Documentation of incidents in conjunction with other members of the treatment team.
• Support psychiatric emergencies and crisis intervention during the shift.
• Provide psychiatric consultation to the medical emergency room.

• NY state medical license.
• ABMS Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Graduate of ACGME or AOA approved training program.
  
  

Wages and Benefits Include:

Annual Base Salary: $301,000* (board eligible); $311,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $475,100** (board eligible) and $486,100** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
