An opportunity to contribute critical nursing expertise awaits in a high-acuity Emergency Department located in Canandaigua, NY. This dynamic unit offers 80 treatment spaces within a modern facility, dedicated to providing specialized and high-quality patient care. The team is experienced, collaborative, and supported by strong leadership emphasizing excellence, including a focus on geriatric emergency care as the area's first ACEP accredited geriatric ED. Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the fast-paced Emergency Department. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely charting and documentation. Participate in the unit's focus on specialized geriatric emergency care and quality improvement initiatives. Adhere to all clinical protocols and standards, maintaining a safe and efficient environment. Schedule: Evenings with 12-hour shifts (11 PM-11 AM / 7 PM-7 AM / 3 AM-3 PM rotation). 36 hours per week. One weekend shift per contracted week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Holiday shifts required (minimum one per contract). Flexible blocked scheduling available with options including Thurs/Fri/Sat, Fri/Sat/Sun, or Sat/Sun/Mon. Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) license active in New York State. Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience, preferably in emergency care. For non-U.S. candidates, 2 years of U.S. work history is required. Current NIH AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Additional Details: This is a 16-week contract position. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. The unit uses EPIC electronic medical records.
